Daniel Weicher is a teacher of Qigong, Internal Alchemy and Tai Chi...and he's in Recovery.  Dan put down the drink in 1999 and never looked back. First experiencing Acupuncture in 2003, Dan augmented his Recovery with Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tai Chi and Qigong which he studied at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, The Omega Institute, The Institute of Integral Qigong & Tai Chi and more. He apprenticed as a Qi Healer from 2005 through 2009 when he began taking on clients of his own and teaching Qigong to people in Recovery.

Dan is also the owner of a successful second generation manufacturing operation in Brooklyn. His Flexible Packaging business has consistently been on the forefront of sustainability and shown that environmental enhancement and economic viability are not mutually exclusive. He has been awarded numerous grants for developing protocols that reflect environmental wellness. His clients range from local Brooklyn businesses to Fortune 500 companies.

A writer and a poet, a businessman and a healer, a teacher and a student, a mentor and a volunteer. Dan's Business is located in a mixed residential/industrial section of East New York, Brooklyn which speaks to his outlook on life:  Business and Art, Science and Intuition, Body and Mind, Intention and Outcome are inextricably linked.

Dan has amassed over 3,000 hours of study, practice volunteering and teaching different aspects of Chinese Medicine, Qigong, Internal Alchemy and their relation to Recovery Principles . His signature Practice, "Recovering The Way Qigong", is a melding of Recovery Principles and Qi Awareness. It is an exciting, thoughtful and provocative mix of the newer Paradigms from the 20th and 21st centuries with Taoist Principles and Mind/Body practice. The program evolved not as a tool to teach, but as his personal path to healing. And like Recovery, it needs to be shared to fully manifest.

A certified teacher of Integral Qigong & Tai Chi from the IIQTC, Dan is also in private practice as a Qi Healer at Bushen Healing and Life Arts where he works with Michelle Davidson, MPS, L.Ac., Diplomate in Oriental Medicine. With Qigong, Dan helps people reach areas not readily palpable or conditions that may not have responded to other therapies. His ability to sense and move energies, drawing from deep personal practice empowers him to help people turn on their own Healer Within.

Dan is Vice President Emeritus of the "Healer Within Foundation", an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. In this role he helps bring Tai Chi and Qigong into underserved communities for little or no fee. He has participated with Dr. Roger Jahnke, OMD for over a decade teaching, writing and developing material for venues such as The Omega Institute in Rhinebeck, NY.
